‘Steve Crombie has travelled over 150,000kms as an adventurer in his short lifetime. Before arriving at his dream job of being a full time explorer, he spent his life pursuing adventure; from joining the circus and cruising around Australia, to floating down the Amazon River in a leaky, homemade canoe; working as a landscape gardener and financial software designer. At the age of 21, he realized that the only way for him to pursue his passion was to go out there and do it.
Whilst undertaking his MBA, he came to realise that his true passion was exploring the world on a motorcycle. Steve recently returned from a journey travelling from Australia to the Arctic by land and sea covering almost 90,000km. He is now recognised as a professional Honda Adventure rider and regular contributor to various motorcycle and adventure magazines.
Today, Steve is a documentary filmmaker, writer and keynote speaker. His current projects include a book deal with Pan MacMillan and presenting, producing and writing documentaries with Lonely Planet and Discovery Channel. In order to motivate others to live their dreams, Steve works as an ambassador for the Inspire Foundation – creating opportunities for young people to change their world.
Steve’s adventures thus far have taken him around the globe – starving and dehydrating in the Las Pampa Desert; waking up behind the iron bars of Tierra Del Fuego; traversing the length of the Amazon with a 260kg motorcycle in tow; evading pumas in Guyana; skimming across the Caribbean on a yacht with wanted criminals; dodging bullets in Nicaragua and finally paddling a few laps in the Arctic Ocean.
After seven years chasing a dream it has now become a sustainable reality. Steve is one of few people in the world with “Adventurer” as his full time profession; it’s even on his business card.

Hello Steve!
I have read somewhere that if you need something badly all the World join hands to help you. I just started to break my head about how to prepare/rebuild (I’m not too technical guy but I have some skilful friends)) my Domie for longer trips and quiet accidentaly bump against your site. I have found helpful things I have looking for and averment that NX650 is travel suitable.
First of all thank you for contribution. Secondly I have to say that your site is dangeroys for me (rather my employers)))). It adding a fuel to the fire. Thirdly you must to know that you have a stable supporting point in Latvia in case your path will enter here.
Best regards,
Ugis
